Founder & Co-Owner
Ken is the founder and co-owner (along with his wife Kerri) of Edge Fitness & Sports Performance. With 25+ years in the fitness and sports performance industry, Ken has experienced it all…from working with athletes of all ages and abilities to offering fitness programming in large, corporate settings, to working with those dealing with injuries or medical conditions who are just wanting to be able to move, function and enjoy what life has to offer.
After many years overseeing the fitness operations for large commercial health clubs, Ken had a vision to open up a facility where helping clients reach their fitness goals was the top priority. Ken wanted to create a fun, challenging, high energy environment where people were not intimated and could belong to a “fitness family” as they work toward their health and fitness goals. Edge Fitness & Sports Performance became a reality in 2009 in a small 2,000 sq. ft. training studio in Sun Prairie. Edge quickly became a “go-to” destination for adults (large group training, small group, training, 1-1 training) and area athletes who were in need of a structured program to help them become stronger, faster and more athletic while also boosting their confidence levels. After out-growing the Sun Prairie location, Ken and Kerri moved the business to its current location in Windsor where they were able to secure a 7200 sq. ft. training facility and expand on their award-winning training programs.
Ken is a native of Hoffman Estates, IL and moved to the small central Wisconsin town of Neillsville while in high school (where he met Kerri) and played football, basketball and baseball. Ken briefly continued his football career at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse before concentrating on school and earning degrees in Sports Management and Business Administration.
In his spare time he loves his daily workouts, hangs out with his 3 best friends (son Kellen, daughter Brieleigh and wife Kerri), has a love/hate relationship with his crazy German Shepherd (Sergeant), coaches youth football and baseball, listens to good music, and follows his favorite sports teams in the Packers, Cubs and Wisconsin Badgers.
